 Re: The NFL
Yeah I figured he would hang it up. I was mostly afraid that Peyton would follow him out the door.

 Re: The NFL
I am going to take the Cardinals in the Super Bowl because nobody else probably will, and also since we have all done such a great job at predicting. If I am wrong, I can always use the excuse that I don't watch the NFL, but since we got a new deal with the cable company in my area I have found myself watching the NFL network. Go figure.

 Re: The NFL
I'm not sure how anyone could not be for the Cardinals right now ... Fitzgerald is on the verge of being one of the best WR ever.

 Re: The NFL
On a somewhat unrelated note, the Miami Dolphins signed former CFL rookie of the year, and last years defensive MVP to a 4 year 4.9 million dollar contract. Cameron Wake is a former Defensive End from Penn State, and is 6'5" 255 lbs, and will play outside linebacker for the Dolphins.
Last year he had 23 sacks, and was fifth in the league all by himself, as he had more sacks than three teams in the league. Perhaps he will fill the void that was left when Miami traded Jason Taylor.
The next closest to Wake in the league in sacks had only 13.

 Re: The NFL
I was disappointed the Cardinals didn't win, but they had a heck of a season. I guess going forward, home team advantage isn't going to be that big of a deal anymore. You have teams going into the playoffs with great records and - bam, they're done. Whoever's hot in the playoffs will walk away with the Super Bowl Rings and Trophy.

 Re: The NFL
Jim, I agree. I had hoped the Cardinals would win also, even though I didn't watch the game... I mean as a former and future fan of the Cleveland Browns I just couldn't cheer for the Steelers. I have heard a lot of talk about the greatest team in NFL history, just because they won the Super Bowl.
I think many people are forgetting that the NFL didn't begin in 1966, it began in 1920, and the last time I checked the Packers and the Bears have still won more Championships.
