Yeah, its a big file. If everyone creates a universe named Complete Fighter Management, I could then just send out the .dat files and you could replace yours with mine. That should work and might even be the best thing to do. I could zip those in one folder and it should be a lot smaller.

That worked and you don't have to make the groups ... they import.

How about the monthly cost of a fighter is equal to his rating? Then his points for winning his bout can be some sort of combo between DP, his rating, arena rating, opp DP and opponent rating.

I'll give you more on this later but I am off to watch 24 now

The points might have to be readjusted some. I'll have to up the cost of trainers and venues after reviewing the amount a fighter could earn. If a fighter fought twice a month he could earn a possible 4 points on my system. Thats a profit of 2 points per month with only 1 fighter. If you stable 5 fighters and they all cost you 2 points but they all win by knockout you earn a pretty substantial profit.

Give me an example of your system and lets see how we can make it work out compared to cost of fighters and extras.

I posted the info on OOTP, hopefully we draw in a few people from there but I'm not sure how many people will be willing to spend the time on this type of universe. I may have to dumb it down some to make it a bit more user friendly.

I was thinking something along the lines of adding

1) fighter ratings/2
2) add drawing power of both fighters
3) add venue rating
4) 70/30 split

Example

I own Jack Curwen ... fictional fighter rated 7 with DP of 3.

He costs me 7 points a month to train.

I chose to have him fight Barry Hamilton rated 2 with DP 2.

1) two fighters/2 = 4.5
2) DP = 5
3) my venue is Kelvin Hall 3

That is 12.5 points. If Curwen wins he gets 8.75 ... then say for upkeep you always round up so Curwen gets 9 points. He has already paid for himself that month.

But if he lost then you'd almost be forced to put him in again to pay his monthly bill.

This is without adding in the costs of your trainer and cutman.

For the cornermen I would add up all their relative ratings divide by how many ratings you added up and divide again by two and that is their cost.

For example

Enzo Calzaghe costs 8+8+8+7+9+8=48 48/6 = 8 8/2 = 4 points. I would make this per fighter per month.

I can help by doing the book keeping on quatro pro.

I think something like this could force gyms to make better fights with their better fighters. If you have generic cutmen and trainers they cost 1 per month per fighter.

So if you start out with 5 one rated fighers ... your monthly cost would be 10 points. You can say the venue can't be greater than the rating of your fighter ... so if you have 1's then they can only fight in a 1.

I would also make all TC's DP as 0 or 1.

Would it be possible to manage that in terms of multiple users with say around 5 fighters per gym? Thats the only part I worry about. Can we keep up with all the gyms and get the costs out to the owners so they can plan their next move. We'll have to be able to send them a weekly report or something. I'm going to work now but I'll check back in the morning.

I could do it ... if you do fight night on Fridays ... I could have the $$$ report back to them on Monday.

I'll have a spreadsheet to do most of the work.
