Post Heroes Hall Vote
After 50 years of history we have selected three fighters that are Hall of Fame eligible. There were better fighters to select from but most were RFG fighters and fail to qualify for the Hall. You may select all or none.

Yankee Sullivan
Division: HW
Career St: 1830
Retired: 1853
Record: 54-22-3 (14)/ 6-6-1 (4) in Title Bouts

Notes: An original member of the sport, Yankee went on to win the WBO title in 1838 on his third attempt. He defended the belt four times before losing it in 1840. He went on to win the belt two more times, in 1841 and 1844.

Jem Mace
Division: HW
Career St: 1849
Retired: 1872
Record: 41-20-2 (7)/ 0-0-0 in Title Bouts

Notes: Jem was a winning fighter with a solid chin. During his 23 year career he was only stopped 6 times. He never recieved a title shot due to the fact he could hardly string wins together. At one point in his career he won 10 straight but never mounted another decent steetch together.

Tom Hyer
Division: HW
Career St: 1841
Retired: 1860
Record: 40-22-3 (18)/ 2-8-0 (1)

Notes: Hyer went on to be WBO Champ in 1849 and again in 1852. He never managed to defend the belt. Hyer's nemesis during his career, Mike Graves*, seemed to always be in the way during his title shots. Only one of his ten bouts for the belt was against another opponent.

I need to put together Hall of Fame voting for the LBA ... but progress moves so slowly that when I do manage to finish a month I am excited to move onto the next one

I understand that. Time is slowing down for me now that I'm adding more titles and more details to the uni.
