Post Maybe it is me
but does boxing have more idiot "fans" than any other sport by % of the population?

First we had to hear Dirrell was faking it ... now we have to hear that Cintron threw himself out of the ring on purpose ... despite the fact that he was definitely in the fight and was landing pretty much at will on PWill, he decided to throw himself out of the ring and then beg the docs to call the fight.

Man idiots never cease to amaze me

Really stupid rule that it goes to the cards. Only differences I saw were that Cintron didn't trip, he dove out of the ring. And he had no desire to continue, that's why he layed there like he was paralyzed until they called it off.

I think his game plan was to try and get and early lead and jump out of the ring.

From another site and I normally like PWill but this seriously has to be one of the top 2 or 3 dumbest comments ever made on a boxing board

I didn't see the fight. But it's interesting all the different viewpoints that seem to be offered around it. It reminds me a little of the Abraham - Dirrell fight. Some people say Dirrell was on his way to getting knocked out anyway, so he faked it.

In this fight, I read that Williams had been rocked and it was turning into a very good fight when it suddenly ended. Some comments I read said that Cintron seemed to have a very good chance and was doing well up until the final round. Others said Williams had his number and would have taken him apart.

In boxing, no one knows what's going to happen because one punch can turn any fight around in any round. Another thing - you can never assume that ONE punch will ever happen either. The Arreola-Adamek fight is a good example of that.

Good question but I see some nutty comments by UNC fans & my brother tells me about comments he sees MMA fans make so it appears boxing fans don't have the market cornered in that regard.
